Renowned Canadian artist Don Li-Leger has been spinning ethereal fantasies of color, light and texture for 30 years. Li-Leger’s signature style, called “Asian Fusion,” infuses his abstract artwork with touches of Asian art and Eastern philosophy and a texturally rich collage of calligraphy, geometric forms and natural elements. After studying plant ecology in college, Li-Leger painted the birds and animals of British Columbia, until trips to the Orient and North American wildlife sanctuaries shifted his creative focus. The symbiosis of art and natural forms is the underlying theme of Li-Leger’s art, which is inspired by the cherished flowers in his own garden. |
